Installing

Spent a great day with lots of helpers getting the rose arch up, pond in place, tree up and rockery in place, ooh yes and the bunting too.

Lots of interest from visitors to the library and lots of stories about how people (mostly men) learnt to knit.

I would love to hear your stories of how you learnt to knit too!

People still joining the project and we are giving knitting patterns out at the library for people to make work to add to it.

Big thanks to all who helped today!!

Almost ready to install......

Just a few last minute bits and bobs to do and spent a lot of yesterday making a base for the pond, a trug and sewing lots of flowers on to stems. Still more flowers to put together but an easy job to do - but would appreciate any offers of help for this.

2 new people joined yesterday as they had only just heard about the project and would have been busy making all winter if they had known. But they are going to make as much as they can in the last 2 weeks before we open. Welcome Sue and Lyn.

Any work that is being delivered can just be left in my porch. Invites for collection are there - help yourselves.

I am not posting more photos now as would like to have some surprises for you all!

Southbourne Library

Our group at Southbourne Library has only been going since January but there are around 30 contributers. We are having great fun and making some great new friends. Some beautiful pieces of finished work are already being handed in and are being admired in the library. We can't wait for the exhibition to see the finished collection all together.
