The garden was originally made by over 2000 volunteers,
aged 2 - 99 years old, with a wide variety of abilities, including families, children, choirs and WI groups, and people with learning disabilities, mental health problems, physical disability and visual impairments.
They were mainly from Bournemouth and some from across the UK with a few international participants.
We even had a lady vicar from Sunderland who knitted the mole in the hole!
As the garden as toured it has new work added to it so we estimate it has now been made by over 4500 people and is still growing.
Each venue makes something significant for it.
Each venue initiates a new knitting group which normally continues after the exhibition leaves.
