Goodbye to Bridport

The last day of the Blooming Marvellous exhibition at Bridport Arts Centre on Bank Holiday Monday 29 August saw a stalwart group of knitters brave the windy afternoon to make a few last pieces for the Bridport Knitted Picnic.

The fabulous picnic will now become part of the exhibition - many thanks to everyone who contributed.

We've loved having the garden at Bridport Arts Centre and hope it continues to delight audiences around the country. A big thank you to Pauline and to all the volunteers who helped install and take down the exhibition.

All the best
from Bridport Arts Centre

  1. It was such a lovely gallery to exhibit in. Many thanks for having us!
The picnic is wonderful and is now at Lighthouse Poole and is the first thing people see when they go in.
Who did the Pavlova? It is wonderful - makes my mouth water!

Yes BIG THANKS to all the volunteers who helped install and take down- we couldnt have done it without you. xx

  2. Hi Pauline
I visited the exhibition in Bridport a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my 7yr old daughter whom I taught to knit earlier this year.

I've written about the exhibition on my blog today, thought you might like to take a peek......

Am excited to hear about future plans, maybe you could add me to your mailing list as I'd love to be involved.

    Much love
    Lucy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  3. What an amazing project. Absolutely fabulous. Saw it on Lucy's blog. Wish you were visiting near me. I'll keep a look out. My granddaughter would love it. I crocheted a black forest gateau and some cupcakes for her this summer. She has just started to knit so maybe she'll be making stuff too. I'll show her these photos. Please add me to your mailing list too if possible wwaite4@gmail.com

  4. Popped over from Lucy at Attic 24 and just had to say how amazing I think this is. Wish I was closer to come visit the exhibit :-)

  5. Hello, Saw this on Attic24's blog and think its brilliant. My daughter will be returning to the Arts Uni, Bournemouth soon and I wondered if I could give her some of my unused wool to pass on to someone to make use of?
